Aluminium RIB’s have significant and substantiated advantages over traditional vessels. These are:
LIGHTWEIGHT, MORE STABLE and EASIER TO MANEUVER:
RIBs are very lightweight because of their inflatable sides and marine grade 4mm aluminium hull construction. This increases fuel efficiency and people and gear carrying capacity.
The hard-hull V shaped hull, inflatable-collar combination gives RIBs their superior stability compared to traditional boats giving excellent tracking, tight turns and extremely responsive, even at slow speed manoeuvring. Aluminium RIB’s are lighter than traditional craft and can be towed by a sedan or SUV. Launching and retrieval by drive off/drive on can be achieved by one person.
The shallow draught of Aluminium RIB’s are ideal for low/middle tide launching and retrieval.
Towing an aluminium RIB has little discernible difference in fuel consumption compared to normal driving.
Aluminium RIB’s can be safely moored at a jetty or finger without damage due to the fending characteristics of the tubes.

Safety is always the priority when boating. Aluminium RIBs have increased safety due to the inflatable tubes surrounding the rigid hull.

Aluminium RIB’s which in the majority are open are far drier than alternative craft due to the spray limiting of the combination of the inflatable tubes and moulded protection strip. This combination deflects spray downwards ensuring a drier ride. The self-draining cockpits during planning keep any water off the deck.
LOWER MAINTENANCE:
Aluminium RIB’s are acknowledged as being lower maintenance than traditional craft. They can be maintained by washing and regularly coating with a UV protectant. There is no requirement to polish, buff or paint the hull.
